“The fact you are referring to is not an import, but an exchange operation. These types of seasonal exchanges between neighboring countries occur and this is normal. I regret that the article does not show the difference between exchange and import.”
The president’s assistant reminded the European Commission’s energy spokesman, Tim McPhee, that “the Southern Gas Corridor, which supplies EU markets, is not connected to Azerbaijan’s broader natural gas system, but only to the gas fields of Azerbaijan.”
