“You have to be careful not to become a victim of human trafficking.”
Oku.Az reports that Elshad Hajiyev, head of the Press Service of the Ministry of Interior, shared it on his social media account.
He appealed to those who want to go abroad:
“Familiarize yourself with the documents and work experience of the company you are applying to. A legal entity operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan can help citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan find work in foreign countries only if they have the necessary activity license. If you are offered to work, study or start a family abroad, this should not be done in a matter of course, it should be done on the basis of any official contract. The contract should be written in your native language and clearly addressed to you, and should provide you with detailed information about the work you will be doing abroad.”
E. Hajiyev noted that the obligations of both parties, i.e. the company and the individual, must be clearly stated in the contract in question:
“It would be a good idea to have a lawyer advise you on the terms of the contract. Find out the name and surname of the representative who offers you a job in one of the foreign countries on behalf of a certain company, ask him for the certificate, power of attorney and contract that the company he represents has given him. Regarding any job placement abroad. Before concluding the contract of employment, education and marriage, be sure to check with the employees of the migration service whether it is legal and safe for you to work, study or simply live in this country.”
