The spokesperson for the PSOE at Madrid City Hall, Reyes Marotoaccused the PSM leader of “lack of loyalty” towards a colleague [Pilar Sánchez Acera] and requested that it be submitted to a motion of confidence to the Regional Executive Committee of the Socialists of Madrid.
This was stated by Maroto in statements to journalists during the November municipal plenary session, which is being held on Tuesday. In the opinion of the municipal leader, who is part of the Regional Executive, Lobato must help “earn the trust” of activists.
Lobato did not resign this Tuesday from his post as leader of the PSOE in Madrid despite the pressure exerted in his party for him to do so after the uproar generated by the information known this Monday. According to ABCMoncloa leaked Alberto González Amador’s confession to the leader of the Madrid Socialists so that he could use them against Isabel Díaz Ayuso in the Madrid Assembly. Lobato, however, refused.
It should be remembered that the confession, recorded in an email, was a private communication between González Amador’s lawyer and the prosecutor. The state attorney general, Álvaro García Ortiz, is already accused of the alleged leak of this data.
Apparently, Lobato received the email containing the confession through Pilar Sánchez Acera, then chief of staff of Óscar López, who in turn was chief of staff of Pedro Sánchez and now Minister of Transformation digital and public functional.
What put the socialist baron in the target was his way of proceeding. Lobato went to the notary in November to formalize the WhatsApp screenshots with Sánchez Acera regarding the email containing the confession.
Lobato defended that he went to the notary to prove that the information he had and that he used against Ayuso in the Madrid Assembly came from the media and not from a leak from the prosecution. All this within the framework of the judicial investigation for revelation of secrets surrounding the Attorney General.
After Lobato’s movements became known, the judge of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court Ángel Hurtado, instructor of the file opened to the Attorney General of the State for the alleged revelation of confidential data of Ayuso’s boyfriend, summoned Lobato to testify this Friday as a witness. .
Lobato denounces a “lynching”
The secretary general of the PSOE-M made a statement this Tuesday after 9:30 a.m. During his appearance, he stuck to his position and said he was “concerned” about the “lynching by the leaders” of his party.
Critics of the socialist formation were already calling for its leader and his absence at the PSOE Federal Congress, which is being held this weekend in Seville.
