Britain’s new Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who has settled into his Downing Street residence, has ordered the portrait of the “Iron Lady” Margaret Thatcher to be removed from his bedroom.
Oku.Az this reports with reference to “The Telegraph”.
Keir Starmer’s biographer Tom Baldwin reportedly told the Aye Write book festival in Glasgow that the prime minister was angered when he saw the painting and decided to get rid of it.
It should be noted that the portrait was painted by Richard Stone on the orders of Labour Prime Minister Gordon Brown, and the work was unveiled in 2009.
