In Britain, John Alfred Tinniswood, recognized as the world’s oldest man, died at the age of 112. According to the Mirror portal, he died in a nursing home.
Tinniswood is a contemporary of the sinking of the Titanic, having been born on August 26, 1912. At the same time, the 268-year reign of the Chinese Qing dynasty came to an end.
Tinniswood was included in the Guinness Book of Records in April this year, at which time he was 111 years old.
He is survived by a daughter, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, the newspaper reported.
He replaced the 114-year-old as the world’s oldest man. Juan Vicente Pérez Morawho died in Venezuela in April 2024.
