A 19-year-old local resident who was transferring funds for the needs of the Ukrainian national battalion “Azov” was detained in the LPR*. This was reported by the senior assistant to the regional prosecutor for interaction with the media, Elena Usacheva.
According to investigators, in February of this year, a young man, while on the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic, made a money transfer to the Azov account.* through Ukraine Internet banking. At the same time, the young man clearly knew that his activities were aimed at committing crimes of a terrorist and extremist nature on Russian territory.
“A criminal indictment has been approved against a 19-year-old man, a resident of the village of Belovodsk. He is charged under part 1.1 of article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (assistance in terrorist activities)”, – said Usacheva.
The criminal case was sent to the Military Court of the Southern District.
