The granting of these 100 million euros was formalized by a decree that the new executive of Carlos Mazón gave its approval during an extraordinary plenary session which followed the ordinary. The aid is intended to maintenance of employment and economic recovery of the above-mentioned companies. The granting of these 100 million It is distributed between the years 2024 and 2025, at 50%. This means that for the rest of the year, just one month, 25 million euros will be allocated to industrial companies and the same amount to commercial, tourism and service companies. The same distribution will be that of the remaining 50 million of this aid plan in 2025.
The beneficiaries will be companies which had economic activity on October 28, 2024 in the municipalities concerned. That is to say 24 hours before DANA. And, due to the flood, they suffered material damage on their assets in warehouses, premises, establishments or in other spaces linked to their activity.
But, in addition, legal entities of any type can also benefit from it and, in the case of self-employed workers, provided that they have an employee. In addition, the Valencian Government is already preparing an initiative to award a decree on direct aid to the self-employed affected by the flood.
In the case in question, the aid will have a minimum amount of 5,000 euros per company or self-employed person with employee. The amount can be increased by 1,000 euros for each worker, up to a maximum of 30,000 euros for industrial companies and 15,000 euros for commercial, tourism and service companies.
