THE nine government sub-delegations In the different provinces of Castilla y León, they observed a minute of silence this Tuesday in rejection of the last two murders linked to gender-based violence in Spaina 46-year-old woman who was allegedly shot and killed by her partner in Estepa (Seville) and a 15-year-old minor who was allegedly stabbed by her ex-boyfriend in Orihuela (Alicante).
The Government Delegate in Castilla y León, Nicanor Senchaired the event in Valladolid, organized the day after the celebration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Sen showed his “deep disgust and rejection” for these “tragic” deaths due to gender-based violence and expressed his “solidarity” with his family and loved ones. He also called for “unity” of the different public administrations before the “unbearable” figures deaths due to these attacks and chose to “continue to raise awareness in society”.
“Also at young people and adolescentsso that they flee the sexist and negationist postulates which run through social networks”, he defended. “Only with a fully united society We can stop having to focus on a woman’s grief,” he concluded.
According to the new protocol established by the Ministry of Equality, sub-delegations and government delegations throughout Spain met a minute of silence for each crime of gender-based violence regardless of where they are produced in Spain.
So far this year, a total of 42 women murdered at the hands of their partner or ex-partnertwo in Castile and León.
