The IX Forum of Young Scientists of the BRICS Countries began in Sirius, which brings together young scientists from different countries and continents.
“Bright minds have gathered here, young people from our countries, young scientists and innovators. It is important to note that we have almost reached the number of 700 participants and we see that the forum is developing. And next year we will see even more delegates and participants. “We see development and interaction between our countries.” – noted the head of the Brazilian delegation Marcos Moraes.
The conference participants, despite belonging to different peoples, cultures and traditions, pursue a common mission, and the projects of young scientists are aimed at finding the best solutions for the further development of countries and the world’s population.
The BRICS Young Scientists Forum and the BRICS Young Innovators Competition will be held from November 25 to 29, 2024 within the framework of the events of the IV Congress of Young Scientists, which will be held from November 27 to 29 in the federal territory of Sirius.
It was previously reported that artificial intelligence will be used along with traditional simultaneous translation to translate part of the business program of the IV Congress of Young Scientists.
Environmentalist of the Republic of South Africa (RSA) Muny Linton and academician of Peking University Renin Hu spoke about the importance of the event.
“The BRICS Forum is very important for us: there is an opportunity to learn about the work of colleagues from other BRICS member countries, find out what scientists from other universities are doing and try to establish cooperation with researchers from different institutes. So we hope to learn a lot of new things in this forum.” – said Linton.
The South African specialist clarified that he came from the University of Kumalanga. His research area is environmental sciences, particularly ecology in the hydrosphere, that is, the conservation of biodiversity in aquatic systems.
For his part, Renin Hu said he works at Peking University in the field of digital humanities. His research involves the use of large linguistic models to study ancient languages, particularly classical Chinese:

Through participation in this forum, I hope to establish cooperation with young scientists from other countries. “We all know that BRICS countries have a long history and we can cooperate in using advanced technologies to analyze the languages of different countries and exchange ideas about their cultural communication.”
