Within the framework of COP29, hundreds of representatives, companies and members of organizations from dozens of countries arrived in our country.
What are the impressions of the service provided to the almost 80,000 foreign guests who came to Azerbaijan for the COP29 conference in Baku?
Borja González, member of the International Solar Union, one of the participants who shared his views with “Khazar Khabar”, said that the climate summit held in Baku met expectations. At the same time, the Union member addressed the issues discussed at the conference.
According to him, the work carried out by the International Solar Union at COP29 was very important. The organization has held panel discussions on the application of solar energy in small island nations and other regions of the world. Working with 120 member countries, the alliance helps them transition from fossil fuels to clean energy. Solar energy is a key solution for many of these countries, especially small island nations where the sun is readily available.
He noted that he greatly values COP29 for all this. He added that both the organization and the debates were very productive. Baku attracted the attention of guests with its beauty and friendly people.
“In addition, the UN climate summit held in Azerbaijan was also remembered as a successful conference due to the record amount of funds raised,” he added.
