The restaurant is accessible from a direct elevator to the eighth floor of Paseo Juan de Borbón, 101, a glass building directly across from Ricard Bofill’s W Hotel. At the various buffets, Fornell and his team offer traditional dishes, such as paella, all types of fish (sea bream, salmon, etc.), oysters, meats (lamb, ribs, etc.), salads and other more innovative options, such as a superb dessert station, all at a flat rate of 49 euros per person. The former restaurant of Shakira and Piqué, closed during the pandemic, has thus become a fashionable place with a new gastronomic concept from chef Romain Fornell, who was the youngest to win a Michelin star for La Chaldette in 2021, while He was only 24 years old. A feat that he repeated at Caelis in 2005 at the Palace Hotel in Barcelona, ​​making him the only French chef with one star in France and another in Spain. It now manages seven gastronomic establishments.

Azul’s menu is dominated by fish and seafood freshly caught by the sailors of Moll del Rellotge.; as well as grilled meats and various Mediterranean specialties. Azul also offers a selection of signature cocktails to accompany the magnificent views of this exclusive space.

Since 2015, Fornell has also been chef director of Hostal de La Gavina de S’Agaró (5* GL). At the beginning of 2017, and in parallel with Caelis’ move to the Ohla Barcelona Hotel, he began to manage all the restaurant areas of this hotel. In recent years, Romain has managed other gastronomic projects in Barcelonasuch as Café Turó, Casa Tejada, Grocery Store or Tejada Mar. At the end of 2021, Le Grand Café Rouge opened its doors, a brasserie restaurant in the Forum district of Barcelona designed by the French architect Odile Decq, whose work is the Torre Le Antares building which welcomes it to Diagonal Mar, with a menu based on Mediterranean gastronomy but which revitalizes the classics of French cuisine, such as bouillabaisse in homage to the legendary Bocuse, the “pâté encrust” or béarnaise sauce.
