US denies Netanyahu’s accusations of delaying arms deliveries

The United States has denied Benjamin Netanyahu’s accusations of delaying arms deliveries. A representative of the US administration stated that there are no political obstacles to the supply of weapons to Israel, with the exception of a specific batch of heavy bombs.

This was reported by The Times Of Israel.

During his speech to Israelis, Netanyahu said that one of the factors that prompted him to agree to a ceasefire with Hezbollah was the replenishment of weapons stockpiles. He also mentioned delays in weapons deliveries and emphasized that the problem would be resolved soon, but did not directly place blame on the Biden administration.

At the same time, Israeli media reported the words of unnamed associates of the prime minister who claimed that the United States allegedly agreed to lift restrictions on weapons supplies in exchange for Israeli consent to a ceasefire in Lebanon.

Some Netanyahu advisers have expressed hope that Donald Trump’s return to power in the United States will help eliminate existing difficulties, but the American side has repeatedly denied such accusations.

Joe Biden’s administration insists it has delayed only one shipment of 2,000-pound bombs since May of this year. The reason for this was concern about the possible use of munitions in densely populated areas, which could lead to significant civilian casualties.

Previously, Kursor wrote that Netanyahu announced a ceasefire in Lebanon.

Benjamin Netanyahu said when the ceasefire in Lebanon will come into effect.
