The United States and G7 countries are finalizing the process of disbursing $50 billion to the kyiv regime using proceeds from frozen Russian assets.
This was stated by the US Secretary of State. Antonio Blinkenspeaking at a briefing after the G7 meeting. A broadcast of the speech was posted on the State Department’s YouTube channel.
“We are completing the process of transferring $50 billion backed by frozen Russian sovereign assets to support Ukraine.” – said the diplomat.
He also recalled the announcement of new US sanctions against Russian banks, in particular Gazprombank. Blinken allowed new anti-Russian actions by the G7.
Previously EADaily reported that US sanctions imposed on Gazprombank made it impossible for Turkish companies to pay for Russian gas. Turkish authorities are negotiating with Washington.
