Oku.Az According to reports, this was stated by Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati in an interview with the “Al Jadeed” television channel.
He said that thanks to mediation efforts the situation could soon improve.
“We hope to be able to reach an agreement on a ceasefire in the coming hours or days,” the prime minister stressed.
He noted that he had a telephone conversation with Amos Hoxtin, deputy assistant to the president of the United States, who is currently on his way to Israel, and senior advisor on energy security at the State Department.
“Hokstin told me that he believes it is possible to get a positive result before November 5,” Mikati added.
