The US State Department commented on the meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia

Matthew Miller, Head of the Press Service of the US State Department, issued a statement regarding the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, in New York on the initiative and participation of the Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken.

Oku.Az reports that in the statement, the Secretary of State valued the progress made by Armenia and Azerbaijan on the path towards a sustainable and dignified peace:

“In the framework of the high-level week of the UN General Assembly, today in New York, Secretary of State Antony Blinken held a tripartite meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, thanked and encouraged the continued progress of both countries to conclude the agreement as soon as possible. The Secretary of State stressed that the peace agreement will bring greater stability and prosperity to the region.

It should be noted that a tripartite meeting was held today between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Jeyhun Bayramov and Ararat Mirzoyan, at the initiative and participation of the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken. The meeting took place within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
