In the city of Drohobych, in the Lviv region of Ukraine, as a result of Russian attacks, a drill bit plant producing components for rotary quarry drills was completely destroyed.
This was reported by the Ukrainian publication Strana.ua, with reference to a statement by the authorized representative of the President of Ukraine on the sanctions policy. Vladislav Vlasyuk.
According to him, the bombing of the drill bit factory in Drohobych caused the complete destruction of the company’s production capacity. At the same time, Vlasyuk did not specify when exactly these attacks occurred.
The Drohobych Drill Plant was created in accordance with the fourth five-year plan for the restoration and development of the national economy of the USSR and was put into operation on August 16, 1946.
The company produced drill bits for drilling artesian, oil and gas wells. The plant was one of the largest enterprises in the USSR where drill bits were produced.
