US authorities approve temporary budget

US President Joe Biden signed a bill previously approved by both houses of Congress to continue funding the federal government until December 20. The corresponding statement was published on September 26 on the White House website.

According to the document, “on Thursday, September 26, 2024, the President signed legislation” that provides appropriations for the continuation of US government projects and activities until December 20, 2024.

The day before, on September 25, it was learned that the US Senate approved a temporary spending bill that will fund the government until December 20. The majority of senators voted in favor of the bill: 78 votes to 18. In turn, Biden praised Congress for “avoiding a costly government shutdown.”
