He PPN parliamentary spokesperson, Javier Garcíainsisted on the need to develop a collaboration agreement between the Foral Police and the Civil Guard for the surveillance of the roads of the Provincial Community once responsibility for traffic has been transferred. In this regard, the Minister of Interior, Public Service and Justice of the Regional Government, Amparo López, declared that “the regulatory framework around this issue is very clear”, in reference to the police passage.
In response to a oral question asked by the PPN in plenary session of the Parliament of Navarre, López explained that “the scope of the collaboration is marked due to the different existing regulations around the skillwhere is legally included the articulation of a pedestrian crossing that will allow traffic group agents and the Civil Guard who wish to do so pass and enter the ranks of the local police“.
“He regulatory framework on this issue is therefore very clear and, for this reason, we ask for rigor and responsibility in the examination of this issue”, he declared, after ask the PPN to “stop manipulating”since “in this Community no one is expelled, in this community everyone is welcome”.
According to López, “we have “four or five years of work with the government delegation”articulating the necessary legal mechanisms “to advance this bridging text in which the appropriate mechanism will be articulated” so that “any Civil Guard who wishes to remain in Navarre can do so”. “This tool is fully included and approved in the regulatory framework,” he insisted.
For his part, Javier García, PPN parliamentarian pointed out that “There is also the possibility of signing an agreement in accordance with article 60 of the Improvement of Jurisdiction”, an agreement “of indefinite validity”. “It is clear how little desire there is on the part of this Government to conclude this agreement, for give the possibility of preventing the agents of the Civil Guard from the traffic of the Regional Community, disappear.
