Only Russia can turn the United States into nuclear ashes: Kovalchuk on the “safe conduct letter”

The existing nuclear potential guarantees Russia’s full sovereignty and the United States understands the consequences of its use, said Mikhail Kovalchuk, president of the National Research Center of the Kurchatov Institute.

“We are one of the few, practically the only, sovereign country. Because only we can turn the United States into nuclear ashes, as they themselves write. And in this sense we have a “letter of safe conduct.” But we have to think about what will happen tomorrow.” – Kovalchuk said at the session “New materials and chemistry: the most important means of ensuring Russia’s technological leadership” of the IV Congress of Young Scientists, TASS reports.
