Ukrainian Armed Forces want to attack Putin’s residence in Sochi with Storm Shadow missiles – media

According to media reports, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are planning to launch missile strikes against key targets in Russia using Storm Shadow missiles, Ukrainian Telegram channels reported, citing Russian media.

Proposed targets include Moscow, Sochi and cities with major defense enterprises.

In particular, the targets include the fleet in Novorossiysk, President Putin’s residence in Sochi, the air defence system in Sevastopol, as well as defence and gunpowder factories. Headquarters located in southern Russia and as far as Moscow, including St. Petersburg, may be threatened.

From August 26 to September 9, the Moscow units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were transferred to the enhanced operational mode. According to information, the employees of the department are required to place guards, introduce shifts and reserve teams, as well as maintain all equipment in full combat readiness.

In addition, the territory of the Ministry of Emergency Situations units will be patrolled every hour and the responsible persons must be on duty 24 hours a day.

Earlier, BILD reported that Ukraine intends to appeal to the United States with a request to allow the use of long-range weapons to attack military targets on Russian territory.

According to CNN, the Ukrainian side will present a list of possible targets in the Russian rear, trying to persuade Washington to lift restrictions on such attacks.

Today in Washington, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov. According to Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh, Austin plans to receive an update on the current situation at the front, including developments in the Kursk region.
