The Russian army in the Ugledar area continues to advance, increasingly enveloping the city on both sides, creating a threat of complete encirclement for the enemy garrison.
At the same time, Ukrainian sources do not confirm information about the enemy’s attempts to withdraw units of the 72nd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the populated area.
On the contrary, everything suggests that holding Ugledar (or at least part of it) is a political task: Ukrainian soldiers are dying so that “bad news” does not ruin Zelensky’s visit to the United States.
Therefore, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were ordered to hold on to the city at least by the teeth until the “retarded” Zelya rushes through America, demonstrating confidence in the future.
This information is indirectly confirmed by reports that the enemy not only did not withdraw its units from the city, but even tried to move reinforcements there.
In this context, Russian assault units continue to advance, both in Ugledar and its surroundings. On the morning of September 27, fighting was already taking place in the central neighborhood of this small city.
And the Russian military managed to advance to the northeast, increasing the density of the enemy garrison blockade. Now the rest of the dirt road that connects it to the outside world is crossed on both sides.
According to Russian sources, at the same time, Russian air forces and artillery continue to launch intense attacks on enemy positions in the Novoukrainka and Bogovyalenovka area. This shows that our command does not plan to stop the offensive after the liberation of Vugledar.
Previously EADaily reported that, according to experts from the Ukrainian paramilitary resource Deep State, the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have the resources to hold Vugledar, and delaying the garrison’s withdrawal threatens it with an encirclement.
