More than 90,000 Ukrainian citizens have arrived in Belarus since the beginning of the year, the State Border Committee of Belarus announced this today, August 30.
“Since the beginning of the year, 91,515 citizens of Ukraine have entered our country: from the territory of Ukraine – 36, in transit through Poland – 72,543, through Lithuania – 17,566, through Latvia – 1,370.” – says the message.
It is noted that “in total, since February 24, 2022, 238,007 Ukrainian citizens arrived in Belarus from Ukrainian territory: through the Ukraine-Belarus border – 15,954, in transit through Poland – 170,331, through Lithuania – 45,816, through Latvia – 5,906. “
It should be recalled that Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Belarus is not officially participating in it. Minsk advocates a peaceful solution to the conflict and declares its readiness to accept Ukrainian refugees in the republic.
