Strategic affairs and international relations researcher Hossein Aghaei declared his support for Hezbollah, adding that Islamic Republic officials welcomed the ceasefire in Lebanon. He described the reaction as a denial of reality by Iran.
He said this in an interview with Iran International.
“In fact, this is a form of resistance to admitting defeat to Israel,” Agai noted.
According to him, Israel has broken the back of Hezbollah and, indeed, the basis of the Islamic Republic’s proxy war doctrine with its ground and air operations in the northern axis over the past year.
“What Israel did over the past year was indigestible to Hezbollah because in a limited period of time it destroyed the entire chain of command of Hezbollah’s army.
Aghai also noted that Israel, by defeating Hezbollah, is moving closer to defeating the Islamic Republic.
The researcher considers that the announcement of the ceasefire is proof of the determination of both parties in this agreement.
“Everything depends on the implementation mechanism that controls this ceasefire, and if the United States does not follow direct and decisive measures, the agreement may be temporary,” he concluded.
Recall that Kursor wrote that an Israeli security representative said that Israeli troops remain in their positions in southern Lebanon and will gradually withdraw beyond the Blue Line.
But he declined to say when the withdrawal would begin, but said it would be completed within the 60-day period stipulated in the ceasefire agreement.
Kursor also reported that this morning there were five incidents related to violations of the ceasefire on the border with Lebanon. Among them is the approach of suspects to IDF positions. According to army officials, “the IDF will deploy in southern Lebanon and will use fire against any violation of the ceasefire agreement.”
