European Commission (EC) Deputy Director Valdis Dombrowski confirmed that a united Europe gives kyiv freedom to cover budget expenditures with money allocated from the income from Russia’s “frozen” assets. TASS reports this today, September 27.
Furthermore, the EC will not set specific targets for the allocation of funds to Ukraine. That is, Kyiv will be able to cover all budget expenses.
“It is not intended to establish any specific objective for which Ukraine can spend the loan,” – said Valdis Dombrowski in a recent interview.
The EU currently plans to transfer $39 billion to kyiv out of a total commitment of $50 billion agreed by the G7.
