He joined the battles with the beginning of the Patriotic War three days before his discharge from the army. As a result of mortar fire in the fighting in the direction of Kalbajar, he was seriously wounded and became unrecognizable; He remained in a coma for 44 days.
Although his mother Sevda Aliyeva searched everywhere for Jahangir, she could not find him. But he never lost hope.
“I couldn’t find my son either among the dead or the living. They told me that Jahangir is alive, but we don’t know where he is. When I went to the morgue, they told me to do a DNA analysis. “I didn’t want to, I said that I will recognize my son even if it is by his leg,” he said.
Jahangir, who was seriously injured as a result of a rocket explosion, cannot see with his left eye, cannot hear and has difficulty speaking. After waking up from a coma, our hero underwent plastic surgery and had new skin transplanted. In total, Jahangir underwent surgery 15 times.
