According to the official report of the Accounts Chamber, in Russia there is a borrower who managed to take out 26 preferential mortgages at once. This information is provided with reference to an audit of the national mortgage market.
The department also clarified that borrowers who can repay five or more loans in a short period are not the target audience for government support, as they have incomes well above average.
In total, according to calculations by the Accounts Chamber, there are 114.9 thousand citizens in Russia who have taken out several mortgages with benefits. And only 1.5 thousand borrowers have five or more loans. The maximum amount for one person is 196.03 million rubles.
