Marta Lois, former Sumar spokesperson in Congress and candidate for president of the Xunta de Galicia for the same party last February, will be the new dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Santiago. Marta Lois has also ventured into institutional politics. Between 2015 and 2019, she was advisor for Equality and Tourism at the Town Hall of Santiago de Compostela. He belonged to Compostela Aberta, a coalition of sovereignist and left-wing parties that brought Martiño Noriega to mayor of the Galician capital. Until 2022, he remains in opposition to the local PSOE government which succeeds that of the left-wing party. He then embarked on the constitution of Sumar. She was a candidate for the Congress of Deputies of A Coruña in June 2023. She was elected and spokesperson for the party between August 2023 and January 2024.
