Since the launch of the Organic Law 3/2021 regulation of the euthanasia THE Junta of Andalusia attended 90 very complex files. THE Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs of Andalusia organized this Friday the first virtual meeting of the commissions for guaranteeing and evaluating assisted dying during which commissions from other autonomous communities, representatives of the Ministry of Health and the members of the Association Right to die with dignity.
In total, 16 of the 56 requests for benefits did not result in processing of the file: by withdrawal (two), death before the start of the procedure (eight), be in the study phase (four) and to have unfavorable report by the responsible doctor who has not been the subject of a claim (two). By gender, 23 of these applications were submitted by men and 17 by women. By provinces, in Almeria Four applications were submitted leading to the opening of a file; eight in Cadiz; four in Cordoba; two in Grenade; one in Huelva; one in Jaen; thirteen in Malaga; and seven in Seville.

More precisely, the Commission must resolve complaints filed due to the refusal of the service by the responsible doctor, the consulting doctor or requests that are submitted to the plenary assembly in the event of a disparity in the report to be issued by the members of the Commission designated to carry out the prior verification of the service.
Likewise, this corresponds to Commission verification of the provision once it has been made, detection of problems with compliance with the obligations provided for in TRADITIONSin addition to proposing improvements to be integrated into the best practices and protocols manuals. It must also resolve any doubts or questions that may arise during the application procedure for the TRADITIONSas an advisory body and prepare and make public an annual report evaluating its application.
