Delegation of the “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan” (AIE, the proper name that the Taliban give to the country)*) headed by the Minister of Mining and Petroleum, Hidayatullah Badri, works at the 7th International Forum “Russian Energy Week” in Moscow. This was announced by the ministry’s press secretary, Homayoun Afghan.
The President of Russia addressed the forum participants. Vladimir Putinsenior energy sector officials from 55 countries and representatives of major oil and gas companies. Badri held a series of meetings with representatives of the Trans-Oil group, Gazprom and Ural Turbine and invited them to invest in Afghanistan’s oil and gas industry.
Hidayatullah Badri and his accompanying delegation will remain in Moscow until September 28.
