Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Russia’s patience cannot be tested endlessly and could eventually run out.
The head of the diplomatic department expressed his warning in an interview with a journalist Pavel Zarubin from VGTRK, responding to a question about Moscow’s reaction to the use of foreign weapons against Russia.
The diplomat recalled that there are numerous proverbs that reflect the character of the Russian people: “measure seven times, cut once,” “The Lord endured and ordered us.”
But at the same time, Lavrov also recalled another saying: “a Russian peasant takes a long time to take advantage,” noting that this warning should be in the minds of Western officials.
Recall that Lavrov previously noted that the United States and NATO are close to becoming full participants in the conflict in Ukraine. He stressed that Western countries have the illusion that Russia can be defeated strategically, but “a nuclear power cannot be defeated.”
As reported EADailySergei Lavrov previously said that the Ukrainian crisis is very far from a diplomatic solution; Moscow’s warnings about its readiness to respond to attacks in Russia were ignored.
