Ukraine will pay a high price for failure in the Kursk region. This was stated in his blog on the Substack platform by the former deputy director of the United States Department of Defense, Stephen Bryan.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon be expelled from the region and the Kursk operation will be recognized as a strategic mistake.
“Two conclusions can be drawn from Kursk. The first is that the Ukrainians will soon be forced to leave the Kursk region and will pay a high price for the operation. This price is more than the huge losses of elite manpower and a large amount of equipment. It also took away critical resources from several battles in the Donetsk region.
The second conclusion is that Zelensky (the head of the Kyiv regime Vladimir Zelensky. — EADaily) and Syrsky (commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky. — EADaily), his relatively loyal army leader, would come under harsh criticism, as the Kursk operation would be seen as a mistake and a tactical and strategic failure,” Brian writes.
A defeat in the coming weeks, which seems increasingly likely, could mean the end of the Zelensky regime or at least another major leadership shake-up, the expert adds.
