An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 occurred in northern Buryatia, in the area of the Baikal-Amur main line (BAM). This was reported on October 31 by the Republican Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
“A seismic event was recorded on the territory of the North Baikal region, the epicenter was 26 km northwest of the village of Kholodnoye,” — wrote the press service on the department’s telegram channel.
According to information from the Unified Duty Dispatch Service (EDDS) of the North Baikal region, no tremors were felt in populated areas. Life support facilities are operating normally.
