This morning it was inaugurated, at the antechamber of the Town Hall of the Town Halla permanent gallery of photographs of mayors of Tudela since the mid-19th century.
In the said act Mayor Alejandro Toquero He was accompanied by Eneko Larrarte, Luis Casado, Luis Campoy, José Antonio Pérez Sola and Alberto Tantos, the mayors who preceded him and who are currently still alive.
More precisely, there is 40 reproductions of photographs in A3 format currently kept in the Municipal Archives. These portraits have been retouched, framed and bear an inscription identifying the mayors and the period during which they were in office.
He Mayor Alejandro Toquero referred to this exposure as “a recognition to those who, over the years, have assumed the enormous responsibility of guiding the destiny of this city. From the first mayor to the most recent, everyone contributed to building the present we enjoy today.
“This gallery is, in essence, a legacy for future generationsa reminder that history is built day by day, with everyone’s efforts. May this exhibition inspire us to continue working for the common good, to remember where we come from and to look at where we want to go,” Toquero added.
Finally, the mayor thanked the presence of the mayors who preceded him and invited all citizens to visit this gallery.
