Hurricane Helen caused widespread internet outages in several US states.

Large-scale Internet outages were reported in the southeastern and central United States due to Hurricane Helen, international Internet monitoring service NetBlocks reported.

Previously, NBC News reported that the death toll from Hurricane Helen, which hit the southeastern United States on Friday night, rose to 33. More than 3.5 million consumers in the United States were left without power.

“Several states in the southeastern and midwestern US are experiencing widespread internet outages, particularly severe in South Carolina as Tropical Storm Helen continues to move inland.” — said the service in a message on the social network X.
