It is reported that in recent years in the city of Baku about 200 inter-neighborhood parks have been created on the initiative of the IDEA Public Union, allowing residents to effectively spend their free time in the area where they live:
“In Baku, Mesha Park with a large area in Yasamal district, Central Park, Chambarekand Park in Sabail district, Ganjlik and Seviram parks in Khatai district were built. In the newly built and renovated parks, pay attention to the increase in green areas.
Expansion work has been carried out in Seviram Park located in Khatai district. In this sense, buildings located around Yusif Safarov Street, one of the main roads in the city, and which were out of date, were demolished. The resettlement process was carried out on the condition that compensation was paid to the residents and owners of facilities in this area in accordance with current legislation.
Expansion and improvement works have been carried out in the 3rd part of the central park. A new park is being built at the intersection of Jeyhun Hajibeyli, Nasib Bey Yusifbeyli and Vagif streets in Narimanov district. Existing residential and non-residential buildings have been demolished here and improvement and construction works are underway.
A new park is being built around May 28, Elman Ovchuyev and Huseyn Rasulbeyov streets. Repair and reconstruction work on the square in front of the train station has been completed and the site has been made available to residents.
In addition, the Khagani Garden, located in the Sabail district of Baku, was also extensively renovated. The existing garden area was expanded, the streets around Rasul Rza, Gogol and Khagani streets around the recreation area were canceled and handed over to pedestrians. On the territory of the garden with a total area of 1.4 hectares, landscaping and lighting work was carried out, modern seats were installed, an entertainment zone for children was created, and repair and restoration work was carried out on the surrounding residential buildings.
Improvement and reconstruction works were carried out in the area bordered by Zarifa Aliyeva Street, Richard Zorge Street and Neftchilar Avenue in the Nasimi District of Baku, and a new park was built.
