This Saturday, September 28, the “yes, I want” of Felipe VI’s cousin is celebrated in advance. Even if the king will not be present at the event, part of his family is present. Queen Sofia, her sister Irene, the infantes Elena and Cristina and Irene Urdangarin arrived on Friday 27 in Athens to attend the pre-wedding of Theodora of Greece, which served as a reception for around 250 guests to celebrate love.
The dinner took place at the gardens of the Byzantine and Christian Museum and although it was private, you could see the participants arriving and also the bride and groom who were posing for the press gathered there, very smiling. We were able to see the first look of the bride, who wore a mid-length white dress with a square neckline and a large bow in the back by designer Helena Celia Kritharioti. Hair gathered into a simple high ponytail and long earrings to complement.

While in Spain Juan Carlos I met Felipe VI, Letizia and Princess Leonor in Marín (Pontevedra) during a private dinner, in Athens Queen Sofia reappeared radiant. The look chosen for her niece’s pre-wedding was by one of her favorite designers, Alejandro de Miguel. It consisted of a silky flower-printed blouse and flowing pants with subtle stripes. Very elegant, the emeritus also wore her usual cascade of necklaces, several bracelets on each wrist and an infinity of rings.
At her side, as always, Irene of Greece, dressed in a mint green outfit. Green was also the skirt worn by Infanta Cristina, high waisted, flared and adorned with a shiny top with short sleeves. A perfect option! For her part, Elena de Borbón y Grecia once again demonstrated her impeccable fashion sense with a beautiful manila shawl as the star of her style.
