On September 18, six Azerbaijani citizens, four children, a man and a woman, detained in camps located in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic, were repatriated to our country.

Representatives of the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with the returnees and examined the status of guaranteeing their rights.
During the meeting with the returnees, their general situation was evaluated, their problems and needs were studied and recommendations were made regarding the protection of their rights.
Within the framework of the meeting, returnees were also informed about the possibility of submitting an application to the commissioner.
