The president of the Provincial Delegation of Toledo, Concepción Cedillo, inaugurated this Saturday the new Quismondo municipal indoor sports pavilion (Toledo), a new facility that will allow the organization of sports activities, music concerts and other cultural activities in the city, offering new possibilities in this area to the municipality and residents of Quismondo.
During the opening ceremony, Cedillo was accompanied by the city’s mayor and provincial deputy, José Eugenio del Castillo; the vice-president of the Provincial Delegation and deputy for Cooperation, Jesús Guerrero; the regional representative Carolina Agudo, the mayors of the area, as well as the councilors of the municipal corporation and many residents of the municipality, who did not want to miss this event which opens a new scene for sport and culture in Quismondo .
Cedillo stressed that “it is a pride to inaugurate this pavilion, which will be a meeting and coexistence point for the Quismondans, in addition to serving to promote sporting activity.”
For his part, the mayor reminded all the municipal corporations who invested their efforts in the construction of the pavilion, as well as “the great help of the Provincial Council which allowed us to inaugurate today this work” begun in 2017 and which “is supposed to ensure that a town like Quismondo has a gym; “The goal has been achieved.”
The works benefited from an investment of more than 300,000 euros from the Provincial Delegation of Toledo, which, with the help of the Council of Communities of Castile-La Mancha and the City Hall’s own funds, made it possible it is up to this city to set up this new sports infrastructure. is underway, responding to requests from neighbors and the commitment of Quismondo Town Hall.
