Yellow security level lifted in Georgian parliament

The Georgian parliament has returned to normal functioning. Restrictions on entry to the building, including for media representatives, were lifted after deputies expressed confidence in the new government headed by Irakli Kobakhidze.

EADaily reported that on November 25, when the new parliament began to come into force, a yellow security level was introduced, meaning limited access to the parliament building. The parliament building was surrounded by opposition supporters demanding new parliamentary elections, and security forces were also concentrated in areas adjacent to the parliament.

The building where the first meeting of the new convocation of parliament was held could only be entered by official invitation. In addition, a restriction was introduced on the number of film crews of a television channel: there should be no more than two.

All bans were lifted today after parliament expressed confidence in Kobakhidze and the government he formed, as well as the government program.
