Train traffic near Kinel was suspended due to a “pop on the bridge”

Due to the emergency, traffic on the 94 km – 103 km section of the Kuibyshev Railway in the Samara region was temporarily suspended. This was reported by the telegram channel of the Kuibyshev Railway.

“On September 28, 2024, due to illegal intervention of unauthorized persons in the operation of railway transport, the movement of freight trains on the section 94 km – 103 km of the Kuibyshev railway (Samara region) was temporarily suspended. .” – says the message.

It should be noted that this incident will not affect the movement of passenger and commuter trains.

According to local authorities, train traffic in the Kinel area was suspended due to an emergency on the bridge.

“Today the operator of service 112 received a message about a strong explosion. At the moment it is known that damage occurred to the “safety islands” on the railway bridge near the city of Kinel (1136 km). There were no injuries… The railway tracks were not damaged,” reports the government of the Samara region.

Security agents are at the scene of the incident.
