Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili arrived at the site of the protest rally in the center of Tbilisi, reports Interpress.ge.
She accused the authorities of carrying out a “constitutional coup” and asked the representatives of the diplomatic corps of the EU countries to help her and the opposition achieve the calling of new parliamentary elections in the country.
The action began on the afternoon of November 28 near the headquarters of the ruling Georgian Dream party, then the protesters moved to Rustaveli Avenue and approached the parliament building.
Clashes between law enforcement officers and protest participants began at the scene. Special forces also arrived there.
