The regional executive of PSOE Aragón rejected the tax agreement reached between the PSC and the ERC, voting against the 29 members present.
The decision was made after more than three hours of debate and without any other alternative proposal having been proposed. With this move, the PSOE Aragon becomes the first, within the PSOE, to oppose this fiscal agreement, framed by the investiture of Salvador Illa as president of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
Among the arguments put forward to oppose this tax agreement, the defense of equality and justice in an autonomous financing system in which reflects the real cost of services and without any type of privileges. A hypothesis that the PSOE of Aragon has claimed to defend for decades and which would conflict with the “Catalan quota”.
In addition to this rejection, the Regional Executive of the PSOE Aragon, led by Javier Lambán, has also agreed to support the PNL presented by the socialist parliamentary group of the Cortes of Aragon to address this financial issue.
However, since the political formation, they added that will maintain their support for the Spanish government in the measures that the country needs in a degree of tension in which the executive of Pedro Sánchez has proceeded to increase pensions and the minimum interprofessional wage, in addition to developing proposals to improve the rights of men and women, among other topics mentioned.
The organizing secretary of the PSOE Aragon, Darío Villagrasa, also stressed that “the PSOE supports these policies of the Spanish government”, in addition to adding that “we will continue to defend the party and the executive while continuing to maintain that the Aragonese profile.”
During his intervention, the PP criticismespecially to the Azcón executive. In this sense, he said that the Popular Party “forgets its obligation, which is to take care of the daily lives of the people of Aragon”, and he suggested that they dedicate the time of criticism and speech in a national key way to “execute the budget” so that things go better for the Aragonese community. He also criticized the management following the announcement made by Becton Dickinson to build the Zaragoza factory with an investment of 200 million euros.
Villagrasa stressed that “we will continue to defend the socialist alternative against the failing and disappointing government of Jorge Azcón. The PSOE Aragon is standing and ready for anything.”
