She denounces a “blatant hypocrisy.” Kent MP Rosie Duffield slammed the door of the Labor Party on Friday, September 28, to protest against gifts received by Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other members of the government.
In his resignation letter, informed by the sunday times, METROme Duffield also criticizes the head of government for his political decisions “cruel and useless”. “Sleaze, nepotism and what seems like greed have no limits”he adds following revelations about gifts accepted by Starmer worth more than £100,000 (almost €120,000) at a time when his government decided to restrict the energy check for millions of retirees.

He also reproaches him for his decision to maintain the maximum limit of family allowance for two children. “When we have much more than the average and choose to maintain the Conservatives’ two-child benefit limit, which locks children into poverty, while inexplicably accepting expensive personal gifts, designer suits and glasses, which cost more of “Most of these people can imagine that we are not at all deserving of the title of Labor Prime Minister.”he states.
He announces that he will now sit down with the independents “guided by their true Labor values”.
