This Friday, Princess Leonor made her first sea voyage as a midshipman, just one day after entering the Naval School of Marín to continue the military career she began last year in Zaragoza.
This Friday, the House of His Majesty the King released a video and several photographs in which the heiress to the throne can be seen wearing Navy clothing and on board a boat with some of her companions.
The Princess’s first experience at sea took place on her first day of courses in the Navy, after having completed her first period of military training at the General Academy of the Army in Zaragoza last year.
The next course will be the last of three that the Heiress will take with the Armed Forces and she will do it in Murcia with the students of the General Academy of the Air and Space Force.
Yesterday at the Naval Academy, the Princess was received with honors upon her arrival and signed in the book of honor. “Today I join, with great enthusiasm, this Naval Military School to continue my military training. I am sure that here I will have the opportunity to learn a lot and share many important experiences with my classmates. With affection, Leonor, Princess of Asturias,” he wrote.
On the first day, she also had the opportunity to participate in an inter-brigade sports competition, as reported by the Zarzuela Palace, accompanied by images of the Princess in sportswear. On this occasion, the Tercera, in which Doña Leonor is a member, won the competition.
In addition, together with other colleagues from the Naval Military School of Marín, she received the badge of distinguished student on the proposal of the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, where she successfully completed the last course.
This is a recognition that is granted at the beginning of the course to students who have met certain requirements in the previous year, related to the grades obtained, the teaching and training grade or the absence of disciplinary faults, among others. In the case of the Princess, the proposal of distinguished student comes from the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, where she successfully completed the last year.
