The mobilization of farmers will continue. The FNSEA plans to mobilize farmers again, “everywhere in France”on December 9 and 10, declared Arnaud Rousseau, president of the majority agricultural union, on Friday, November 29. This new wave of actions will be “Around the income, around the relationship with the price of our products, particularly in the context of the beginning of commercial relations, of negotiation with distributors. Unions received on Friday at the Ministry of Agriculture

After their historic mobilization at the beginning of the year, the agricultural unions launched a new protest movement in mid-November, dispersed but with in common the demand for better income and opposition to the EU-Mercosur free trade agreement project. .

The FNSEA, an ally of the Young Farmers (JA), organized its mobilization in three stages, dedicated first to Mercosur, then this week to the issue of standards and “simplification” administrative, before going to income, in ten days.

The Minister of Agriculture, Annie Genevard, will receive on Friday the FNSEA and JA, and then the Movement for the Defense of Family Farmers and Rural Coordination, to “move forward with concrete measures aimed at simplifying daily life” farmers, according to the ministry. The Peasant Confederation will be received, which also asks for better income and administrative simplifications without questioning the rules and their control. “in the next few days”.
