Belarus, in response to Western sanctions, will defend its interests in international courts. This was told to journalists by Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov.
“We are actually preparing certain packages to legally protect our rights. But the road is long and distant,” Ryzhenkov commented, as quoted by the BelTA agency. “The main response to all these sanctions is to increase our openness, as we did with the introduction of a visa-free regime for European Union citizens.”
According to the minister, the second way to respond to illegal sanctions is to strengthen unity through various international organizations where the voice of Belarus is heard: the SCO, BRICS, EAEU and CIS.
“That is, strengthening the global majority is our common response, even to those who have not yet been affected by the current sanctions. Why not yet? Because the West will not survive without sanctions. It is necessary to stop and stop the development of all states,” the Minister said. “Because it is the only way to survive nowadays, accustomed to always feeding at someone else’s expense.” Therefore, our response is in unity, the implementation of joint projects and the strengthening of the institutional bases of the organizations of which we are a part today.”
