“The Iranian Majlis (Parliament) will agree on the options for ‘response and revenge’ against Israel for the assassination of the secretary general of Lebanon’s ‘Hezbollah’ movement, Hassan Nasrullah, and will propose these options to the Supreme National Security Council. The latter body will decide how to act.”
Oku.Az Lawmaker Ahmed Naderi is reported to have told the “Mehr” news agency.
A session of the Iranian parliament was held behind closed doors on Sunday. The latest developments in the Middle East were discussed at the meeting. Naderi said several parliamentarians have already offered their options on how to respond to Israel.
The deputy added that the Supreme National Security Council will discuss the deputies’ proposals after receiving them and make a decision to respond to “Israel’s crimes.”
