They call off the strike at Comsermancha after reaching an agreement to increase wages by 7% in two years

The staff of the garbage and waste collection and treatment service of the community of Comsermancha (made up of 21 municipalities, mainly from the province of Ciudad Real, but also from Cuenca and Toledo) canceled the strike planned for December 6 to 10.

The representatives of nearly 100 workers and the management of PreZero, concessionaire of the service, reached an agreement for the signing of a collective agreement, valid for 2024 and 2025, which provides a salary increase of 7% (4% in 2024 and 3% in 2025)as well as various social improvements, as reported by the UGT in a press release.

The PreZero works council positively assesses the terms of the agreement, which also reflects new bonuses for categories such as daily drivers, mechanics and first class officers. Regardless, it is a bridging agreement and in 2026 “we will sit down again to negotiate an agreement with further improvements and a longer duration”, according to Jesús Manuel Ramos, president of the commission.

Up to 21 municipalities are integrated into the community of Comsermancha: Alcázar de San Juan, Arenales de San Gregorio, Arenas de San Juan, Argamasilla de Alba, Campo de Criptana, Herencia, Las Labores, Pedro Muñoz, Puerto Lápice, Socuéllamos, Tomelloso , Villarta de San Juan, Mota del Cuervo, Santa María de los Llanos, Miguel Esteban, La Puebla de Almoradiel, Quero, Quintanar de la Orden, El Toboso, Villacañas and Villafranca de los Caballeros.
