Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze threatened EU Ambassador Pavel Gerchinsky with a diplomatic response if he does not stop spreading disinformation about the ban until 2028 on Georgia’s EU accession negotiations.
Gerchinsky affirms that Georgia would have stopped the Euro-Atlantic integration process for four years.
“In fact, the Georgian authorities emphasized that they will carefully monitor the implementation of the Association Agreement and by 2028, 90% of the Association Agreement will be implemented.” – says the statement of the Prime Minister of Georgia.
Kobakhidze recalled that Gerchinsky directly participated in the electoral campaign in favor of the radical opposition and against the ruling team.” He accused the EU ambassador of serious violation of the Vienna Convention and the principles of democratic elections.
“For some time we have refrained from reacting diplomatically to such events, however, everything has its limits, and if we do not see a change in behavior towards such events in the future, both on the part of the EU ambassador and other relevant ambassadors , we will do it. Definitely respond. “We are talking about a diplomatic response.” – said Kobakhidze.
