The election campaign of the candidates for the post of deputy in connection with the elections to the Milli Majlis on 1 September is coming to an end.
Tomorrow, August 31, is the “Day of Silence” in Azerbaijan. 990 candidates are competing in 125 electoral districts. According to electoral experts, the election campaign that is ending has been the calmest of all parliamentary election campaigns held so far in Azerbaijan, with no tensions, except for minor exceptions.
Although there are active and brilliant activists among the candidates, there are not many of them.
At the same time, the campaign of Tanzila Rustamkhanli, deputy candidate of the Citizens’ Solidarity Party from Neftchala constituency No. 70, advisor to the VHP chairman and chairwoman of the Azerbaijan Chamber of Turkish Affairs, attracted special attention.
T. Rustamkhanli, who campaigned under the slogan “Together for Neftchala”, toured the most remote areas of the district during the 20 days allotted for the campaign. Thus, according to information provided by the election headquarters of Tanzila Rustamkhanli, the dislocation zone of the district was completely covered by holding meetings in each of the 49 districts during this period. In addition, hundreds of citizens were received at the election headquarters and dozens of families of martyrs and veterans were visited.
The meeting held on August 24 at the Olympic Complex in Neftchala was one of the highlights of the election campaign held across the country. At this meeting, attended by more than a thousand voters, a rare fondness for communication between candidates and voters was evident.
The general attitude of the district towards the candidate was expressed at this meeting. He was warmly received in the villages, which also gives reason to think ahead about the outcome of the election.
During this period, the support of famous people of the country, NGOs and other organizations for Tanzila Rustamkhanli’s election victory proved that the opinion of the Neftchala voter will be welcomed by everyone.
